Michael Kiwanuka Simply Astounds
Complexity presented simply and honestly through art takes a certain amount of genius which is incredibly rare in this world. So rare in fact that when Michael Kiwanuka released his latest video for “Black Man In A White World,” I almost missed the genius.
If one simply watches the first minute of this video it seems like a rip off of Kendrick’s “Alright” without the production budget. But if one holds on past the sixty second mark, they will be gifted with a beautiful piece of art. Director Hiro Murai takes a huge gamble in not hooking the audience from the beginning but he seems to say only the faithful will be gifted this amazing experience.
So pay attention and don’t give up before sixty seconds….
